Customer Evaluations

Pros:
- Decent pivoting on camera (really decent range of movement)
- sharp picture (though you have to concentrate manually on the camera)
- quite effortless to setup if you are technically inclined
- lots of capabilities like motion detection with emailing and ftp, video recording, and so on.
- Night vision functions perfectly integrated controls for four cameras.
Cons:
- You do need to have to be technically savvy to set this up. There is quite small documentation on how to do this. But it is really apparent how to do it if you are in the field. There is no GUI wizard to help set this up.
- No zoom
- When camera is working with night vision you see a ring of red dots around the lens. So hiding can be a challenge.
- No SSL or encryption alternatives. The web controls for this point runs on HTTP. So capturing packets and seeing your passwords is rather straightforward. So security is type of an concern.
- I am not positive about any help (Hardware, computer software, replacements, and so on) due to the fact I haven't had to use it. But looking at this I have no notion who I would make contact with.
- Firmware updates - There is no selection for the camera to go out and find out firmware updates. So you have to search for them your self.
- For some cause I required to factory reset the camera to commence making use of it when I received it. Not too much of a con but it created me believe that this was refurbished or something.
Honestly, this camera getting around $99 and getting all the functions that it does is pretty wonderful. Other cameras with only half of selection this has expenses about $250-300ish. This camera looks like a thing that someone made, sold to a bunch of other organizations (who just stamp their name on the front), and they are the ones who provide help for it. So you can get updates from them even if you did not purchase the camera from them.
For the revenue it really is a excellent camera. It's not ideal but I'm undoubtedly not going to invest $300 on a single like this.

The camera itself is incredibly really good, it has a 15-20 foot IR range, with a maximum of 640x480 broadcast size. I've tested it with each sunlight, artificial light, and nighttime and the camera adjusts pretty nicely for all settings, and tweaking the brightness can hep a lot. The controls are extremely smoth and the speed it adjustable, it can move as fast as ~270° in 3 seconds or set to fine manage that operates it in particularly small and correct adjustments. The is no freedom of play in the components, and the motors are incredibly smooth and precise.
Got mine set up in 30 minutes (Opening box, setup, mounting) and I am now about to order a second shipment of two. These are fantastic and high high quality cameras for the low-budget surveillance desires, as they can be up to (I think) 16 cameras in synch. They have their personal customizable IP configurations or has auto pick possibilities, and upnp.
Extremely very good, high quality item and extraordinary price tag. five/5
Pros:
Correct and smooth PT mechanism.
Quite decent camera and IR.
RJ-45 Network interface for direct network attachment
Zero cost Multi-camera computer software included.
Cameras are compatible with way more then 1 in the same network.
At night the IR LED's appear like GLADoS' cameras with a luminesent red glow about the lens.
Camera controls are moderately tricky to set up but most could accomplish it.
Documentation is included (on a micro-cd)
Camera has embeded alarm hookups (four pin)
Camera has external port for external speaker
When you have it setup, viewing from inside your LAN/WAN and over the Web is incredibly uncomplicated
The cons:
You have to know how to do simple port forwarding on your router to get the wifi working.
Initially utilizing the RJ-45 and included disc you can use it instantly and use (by way of the camera control's) to setup your wireless.
Wireless WEP/WEP2 Mixed Wifi Password kinds had been not compatable (Nonetheless a quick switch to WEP2 Individual fixed this).
The audio controls are touchy at greatest and I could not get it to operate effectively. Not a huge deal.
Camera is Black and White. Stunning, but BW.
No cake is included with purchase.
